Reishi
Reishi is a dark red colored mushroom. The botanical name is Ganoderma lucidum. It is considered an adaptogen, which is a compound that is known to help the body deal with stress and boost the immune system.
Reishi is a big part of traditional medicine in several countries in Asia like China, Japan and Korea to name a few. Reishi is also known as Red Reishi, basidiomycetes mushroom, ling zhi or ling chih (China) and mannentake (in Japan).
The entire Mushroom can be ate whole but it is most commonly consumed in powder form or extracts when used in alternative medicine treatments. The whole Mushroom typically weighs 25 to 100 grams.

Instructions:
This Mushroom grows well inside the bag with no special attention, simply leave the
kit in 70- 80 degree conditions and allow 6-8 weeks to fully fruit. As an experiment, once the antlers
have got about halfway up the bag, make one to two incisions at each corner to allow fresh air
exchange. This will allow the mushroom to breathe making it possible to get the classic reishi disk
formation. I have not tried this yet so this will be an experiment. I have seen it on youtube done
successfully but have yet to try it myself. Make sure you do not make the cuts too big or too much
moisture will escape the bag making things too dry.
